</i>The air was cool as I gradually walked amongst the tombstones towards the center of the cemetery.
The moon was full, illuminating my way with a small red ring around it tonight. It was spelling out trouble, but what kind I wasn’t particularly sure of.
I spotted Mark in the center of the graveyard, dressed up in his shredded tux and gorgeous gothic make up, standing in front of an open casket, red satin lining the entire coffin's insides.
He was holding a silver goblet with a bat design, and sparkling red rubies for eyes. It was enchanting, the entire scene was.
Melted candles were lit all over the place, leading me down a path in the direction of Mark. They were placed on both gravestones and on the ground, making the area flicker in magnificence.
"You ready?" He smiled, placing down the goblet and took my hands gently in his, his blue eyes sparkling unearthly, but oh so beautiful.
I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest with fear, anxiousness, and excitement.
I was ready for this, but that red ring around the moon coursed fear through my veins. Something was going to happen; I felt it.
I smiled as Mark began speaking a tongue I did not understand, nor recognize.
Watching him was intoxicating, but a movement out of the corner of my eye caught my attention.
It was a ghostly white-familiar-hand and it reached out from behind the open casket and poured a liquid substance into the goblet, contaminating its contents.
I blinked as Mark reached over, never noticing that someone had put something unknown into the goblet and right as he lifted the goblet toward his mouth, I smelt the odder of Garlic.
The only thing Mark was allergic to.
My eyes widened. His antidote was at home, which was too far for anyone to bring it, or for us to try and retrieve it. He would be dead by then.
"No!" I screamed, slapping the cup away from his face, but it was already too late.
The smell was enough to provoke his senses.
His eyes bulged, his skin went deathly pale, and he began to wheeze, his breathing getting harder and harder, gasping for air.
"Mark!" I cried, kneeling down beside him as he sank to the ground.
His beautiful blue eyes stared up at me with such a sickly look, and such sorrow that I feared for his life. I felt moisture rising into my eyes, threatening to fall.
Was there nothing that could save him? How could this happen? This was supposed to be a beautiful, happy moment, not deadly and horrifying.
Mark's eyes snapped from me and into the distance.
I turned to find Shadow standing there. Her long black hair bellowed in the wind as she smirked demonically.
She wasn’t planning on letting me become a vampire. She wanted to kill me before I had the power to rid myself of her, but Mark wasn’t too interested in allowing Shadow to have her way.
It he couldn’t get the antidote, he'd just have to feed, and feed immensely; a body full of blood was the perfect thing he needed.
Mark smirked faintly before he reached up weakly, taking my neck into his grip and pulled me down closer to him.
"I guess we'll have to do this the less romantic way. I can do old fashioned." He hissed. "Sorry to ruin your tricks Shadow." And with that he opened his mouth, his fangs clearly seen before singing his teeth into the soft flesh on my neck.
I gasped.
This was it. This was the death to my human life and the birth into the vampire world.
My eyes steadily went out of focus, my head seeming to spin as the body was drained of all its life.
All my nerves and senses were heightened, allowing a strange wave of ecstasy to wash over my entire body. It was an amazing feeling as I felt the life slip through my fingers, Mark's grip increasing with every gulp.
My mind gradually drowned out Shadows rage-filled screams, and as my body became weak and even more fragile, my heart slowing, I felt a strong possession over me.
It was Mark's strength returning and in these moments, he picked me up, holding me, cradling me, and protecting me.
I felt safe, but so near death it was frightening.
As darkness began to suffocate the rest of my vision, I made out the silhouette of Mark as he gently laid me down against the ground and leaned in toward me, calling out my name softly, but everything was soon silent as death took over me. </i>

Turning Death - shadowpuppet13
Boot prints on the cold stone ground
Silent night, no one around
Cautious fingers, clutching wood
Wary eyes beneath his hood
Cobwebs twining cross the walls
His footsteps echo down the halls
Dark breeze snakes by, oh so discreet
His trenchcoat ruffles round his feet
He comes across an open door
The room that he's been searching for
In the doorway there he firmly stands
White knuckles gripping stake in hand
Fire crackles, words of sin
Tall shadow figures loom within
He shifts his stance from where he hides
Hands check the weapons at his sides
His heart beats fast, not much time left
He palms the stake, his actions deft

Yea, finally starting the sequel to My Vampire Romance. It took me a bit to write this, because we all know Im not a vampire, and dont know how all that really works, so I really had to use my imagination. XD
