O.M.F.G. *dies* This picture took me like...a day and a half to do ._.
I really wanted to do a mermaid though, considering I've been watching the new little mermaid movie XD
Yea, I got its for Christmas <3
Ariel's my favorite princess, and after watching it a couple times with the girls (my little sisters) I ended up trying to think up a mermaid to draw...and this is what I came up with <3 I wanted her to be a bit different from normal mermaids Ive seen.
(Ive been looking through pictures here on D.A) and this is what I got :3

I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do.
Im going to be getting a Tablet soon, (as soon as I order it XD) and this will be the first piece I color with it :3
so Enjoy the black and white for now :3

there is A LOT of detail in this piece...I dont expect you to see all of it for what it is either...Kinda hard to tell some things from the hair...like her wedded ears and her eye...>>
but XD enjoy

and Idk what that orb thing is under her hands...I was gonna do something with it...but now Idk XD I might add some detail later with it...

OMG the detail is amazing, who couldn't notice that!?! The hair looks like a combination of seaweed and coral, idk its the best description I could come up with... are those spiderwebs? either way, it still looks cool. The necklace is a nice touch along with the fishnet top, the scales aren't overkill but they still serve their purpose. Another thing I liked, I may be misinterpreting this, were the seaweed gloves, I have never seen anything like that before on a mermaid, not that I have looked at too many. ^^; Then there is the Dorsal fin? I'm not too good with aquatic anatomy when I have a 39 gallon fish tank. ^^;^^; Anyway the 'dorsal' fins look amazing. And finally we get to the tail fin, wow, I mean just look at it, it has life in it.
I guess what I am saying is that just by looking at it I can see/feel the effort/love/passion, take your pick, that was put into it.

I actually dont know whats up with the gloves XD or w/e XD i just did them, but I didnt feel like taking them out...it added to her interesting fin and tail :3
